Caneta Energy: LEED Certification

LEED Certification

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a rating system developed by the USGBC (US Green Building Council) to distinguish buildings demonstrating a commitment to sustainability by meeting performance standards in environmental responsibility and energy efficiency. LEED assesses the sustainability of buildings in five key areas; energy efficiency, water savings, indoor environmental quality, materials selection and sustainable site development. The Canadian Green Building Council developed a Canadian version of LEED with energy efficiency requirements based on the Canadian Model National Energy Code.
