Caneta Research is interested in motivated and qualified candidates keen on entering what has become a very important field. Caneta’s staff are leaders in the field of energy efficient buildings, energy modelling and leading edge HVAC equipment.

Ideally, candidates should have an interest in building energy efficiency with a background in thermal/fluids and heat transfer. Specific duties of the position may include:

  • Preparation of building energy simulation files and undertaking energy analysis for architectural and engineering clients using DOE 2.1, EE4, eQuest, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, DesignBuilder and other proprietary programs
  • Technology investigation and engineering analysis studies of advanced HVAC systems
  • Technical literature searches and reviews
  • Application software development using Visual Basic, Fortran, C++ etc.

Good writing skills and experience with spreadsheet and word processing packages are essential. Experience in a multi-task engineering consulting environment, and a background in HVAC engineering or heat transfer would be an asset.
