ASHRAE Publishes Standard 241: Control of Infectious Aerosols

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, ASHRAE quickly developed and disseminated information on minimizing COVID-19 transmission in buildings. Standard 241 now provides standard-level guidance for preventing airborne disease spread during high-transmission periods. ASHRAE Standards 62.1 and 62.2 continue to define ventilation requirements during typical building operation; Standard 241 would be used when enhanced ventilation is required.
